TRANSPORT

The Metromover of Downtown Miami is a train made of only one coach; it rounds over the city, connecting the most important sites. A touristic tour by the Metromover represents a safer possibility than a walk by foot on the ruined sidewalks of this district.

It is free of charge.

SHOPPING

South Beach è naturalmente il quartiere più raffinato sul piano dello shopping: offre, infatti, una profusione di negozi stravaganti, appariscenti, sgargianti alternati a vetrine dei miglior stilisti.

Lincoln Road, Washington Avenue and Collins Avenue represent the very centre of Miami's shopping life.

South Beach is of course the finest in terms of shopping: it offers a profusion of  extravagant, showy, gaudy shops alternating with windows of the best designers and international stylists. Lincoln Road, Washington Avenue and Collins Avenue represent the very center of Miami's shopping life. Call Lincoln Road a "mall" really does not make the idea: here you can make shopping of excellent quality but the real essence of this open-air shopping area is to see and be seen.

Cocowalk and the streets of Mayfair in Coconut Grove are two outdoor malls with shops belonging to the main American and international chains.

ATTRACTIONS

The heart of South Beach is the Art Deco District, one of the largest areas of the United States entered the National Register of Historic Places. Espanola Way is an avenue in "authentic" Spanish style and is a nice way cobbled-colored clay, lined with galleries and pink buildings with shops and restaurants of typical tapas.

NIGHTLIFE

South Beach is full of bars and locals, also unpretentious, but for several years the lounges of the hotels are the most glamorous and most popular choice. The Delano Hotel, in Miami Beach, has the absolutely trendiest  lobby at the moment: it is the Rose bar, with its chic atmosphere.

The Skybar of Shore Club Hotel is the most successful bar in South Beach: the place is really fabulous with a lovely garden lit by large Moroccan lanterns in wrought iron.

The Bond Street Lounge is the bar at the Townhouse Hotel, with its white sofas and glamorous clientele. More, in South Beach you can not miss the Bed (www.bedmiami.com), an original ambience with beds distributed around the location of the DJ.

The Nikki Beach (www.nikkibeach.com), in Ocean Drive, is a club pool with cabanas placed on sand as fine as silk and an extra luxury atmosphere.

In Downtown Miami there are a plenty of clubs and pubs advanced with live music. Among the most popular are Tobacco Road Transit Lounge, Karu & Y, Level 25, M Bar, White Room (www.whiteroommiami.com)
